C8 Center Hood Jake Graphics Package Now Available

The C8 Corvette is already a stunner, but now you can make it even cooler with a Center Hood Jake Graphics Package for under $500.

Chevrolet recently introduced a Center Hood Jake Graphics Package for all C8 Corvette models (RPO code SB7). The decals offer race-inspired styling to the sports car at a competitive price. Corvette Racing’s C8.R models also sport the Center Hood Jake racing stripes. It was recently announced that after claiming a milestone victory at the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar championship, the Corvette Racing program has now been sold to the Oshkosh Corporation.

The Wisconsin-based industrial vehicle and equipment manufacturer bought the racing program for a price of $115 million. Oshkosh has confirmed that it will allow the Michigan-based engineering firm, Pratt & Miller to run the Corvette Racing program independently.

The C8.R is a formidable race car and features a race-tuned 5.5-liter V8 engine that produces 5 HP more than the stock 6.2-liter LT2 motor in the road-going C8 Corvette. The naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 engine produces 500 HP of power and 480 lb-ft of maximum torque in the Corvette race car.

We do not expect Pratt and Miller to make any drastic changes to the C8.R race car anytime soon, and with the new graphics package, customers can now own a piece of Corvette’s celebrated Motorsport heritage. As part of the package, Corvette owners will receive two Stingray decals that go on the sides of the sports car and a Center Hood Jake racing stripe finished in black.

The Jake racing stripe features Corvette Racing badging, which is a nod to the C8 Corvette IMSA pace car. The company also offers templates as part of the decal kit that allows the customers to install the racing stripes at home with ease. The Center Hood Jake Graphics Package costs $495, and interested buyers can place their orders on Corvette’s online accessories store.

The company offers a 12000-mile/ 12-month warranty on the graphic package and assures customers that the decals can be removed with the help of a heat gun without causing any damage to the vehicle. Customers of the 2021 model year C8 Corvettes can get factory-installed graphics by opting for the decal package while configuring their model.
