The Best C8 Corvette Vanity License Plates We’ve Seen So Far
Corvette owners have made mid-engine, C8 and Zora popular, but there are some unique ideas as well.
People who love their cars often get custom plates and it seems that every C8 owner loves their new Corvette. That has led many C8 owners to get custom plates for their new Stingray. There are even some folks who already have plates for a future Grand Sport and Z06, even before those models have been introduced. In fact, many members who have a new Stingray had the plates for their C8 before the car arrived.
Back in early 2019, “Zhopper05” made a thread in the C8 General Discussion section, asking other people who were getting a new Corvette Stingray to share their custom plates. It was a popular thread when it was new, and with many C8s being delivered in the past year, we are seeing more and more examples as time goes on.
C8 Vanity Plate Introduction
When the OP first posted his thread almost two years ago, he shared a picture of his Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT with the plates that he ordered for his C8 Corvette Stingray. He also shared some other Corvette-oriented plates that he owns, with plans to use them on future models.
Do you plan on putting a vanity plate on your C8? What does / will it say?
I am in the State of Texas. I already own THE ZORA vanity plate, which I currently have on my Jeep SRT. A couple of years ago I had ZORA, but I let elapse when I had moved to Tennessee, not knowing I was going to move back to Texas, and now someone else owns it. Also, I still have Z-RAY, which I used to have on my 2014 StingRay, and for the time being it is on the SL550.
I just purchased E-RAY; I have not put it on a car yet.
At that point, no C8s had been delivered, but many members who ordered the next generation Chevy sports car already had license plate plans. Many people already had those plates on other vehicles, like the C7 owned by “Rob111765”.
Since then, scores of C8 Corvette owners have shared their plates. There are a few popular themes, such as Zora, mid-engine and C8, but there are also an array of very unique custom plate ideas.
The C8 Corvette
The most popular theme among C8 Corvette owners is to work “C8” into the license plate. For some people, it is as simple as having C8 somewhere in the plate. Others found unique ways to spell C8, or to work it into a longer word. “DanZ06” shared the EXOTIC8 plate at the top of this piece.

The First Mid-Engine
The C8 is the first-ever mid-engine Corvette and that is a key selling point for many buyers. Of course, some of those people want to advertise the mid-engine layout on their license plate.

Zora
The mid-engine Corvette was originally dreamed up by Chevrolet engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov back in the 1960s. Sadly, he never saw his mid-engine ‘Vette come to life, but many people are putting his name on their cars. There is likely to be a model that uses the Zora name in the future, but for now, Arkus-Duntov is getting plenty of notoriety on the new Stingray.

Unique Ideas
Finally, there are some unique plate ideas shared for the C8 Corvette Stingray.
“MyVette1991” has a GT500 with the license plate “BLK VNM”, so his Corvette has the plate “VMN KLR”.
“Karate” has custom German plates on his C8.
“Liggy” worked with his state’s plate designs to spell “real quick”.
“20C8” points out the exotic qualities of his Stingray.
“RussM05” looks like he is planned on getting a Z06 in the future, but he shared the most impressive looking license plate picture.
Finally, “Robert Bruce” has a plate waiting for his C8 Z06, whenever it arrives.
