Sylvester Stallone recently became the proud owner of a brand new C8 Corvette, and here’s what we know about the Rapid Blue sports car.

The C8 Corvette is quite a hot ticket item in the premium sports car segment right now. The mid-engine sports car even kicked off the New Year on a high note. Automotive search engine and research website- ISeeCars- recently reported that the outgoing Corvette model was the fastest-selling new car in the U.S last month. The Bowling Green sports car was also the best-selling premium sports car in Q3 2020, and as it turns out, even the Hollywood elite are not impervious to C8’s influence.

Hollywood A-lister, Sylvester Stallone recently procured a brand new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible. Like many Hollywood celebrities, Stallone also harbors a passion for Corvettes. The actor recently moved to Florida and purchased the car as a house warming present. In the past, the “Rocky” star even owned a customized 1968 Corvette, which was powered by a Donovan Big BlockV8 that produced 660 horsepower. The custom-built ‘Vette was up for auction in 2015 with an asking price of $129,000.

In comparison, with prices starting at just $67,495, Sly’s new ride is more reasonably priced. Stallone purchased the car from Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac of Murfreesboro, which is a Tennessee-based dealer. Sly’s new Corvette Stingray flaunts a Rapid Blue paint job, which is a $500 option.

The 74-year-old actor’s new ride also comes with five-trident spoke alloy wheels finished in Spectra Gray and a Tension Blue/Twilight interior. Surprisingly, Stallone’s new car does not come with the Z51 Performance Package, which is one of C8’s most popular optional extras.

The car was delivered to Sly by Bo Trivett (Owner of Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac of Murfreesboro), who was escorted by his wife. The dealership thanked Sylvester for his business and chronicled the delivery on its official Facebook page. The caption read,” We are extremely proud and honored (and a little star-struck) to be able to say Sylvester Stallone is now one of our customers. We sold him this beautiful 2021 C8 Corvette!” the caption further read, “Thanks for your business, Sly!”

FOX Business recently reported that the all-new C8 Corvette is attracting buyers that are more affluent than those of previous-generation models. Even though this is not a surprising development, it does have a sense of irony to it because Corvettes are generally revered as Blue Collar heroes. Considering that Stallone’s current net worth stands at around $400 million, there might be some truth to the Fox News report.
