Making 627 supercharged horses on pump gas, Jetstream Blue C6 Corvette proves you don’t need to go hardcore to have an awesome ‘Vette!

Though the C8 Corvette is the bees’ knees in a lot of ways, some issues get in the way of truly getting the most out of the new ‘Vette. The biggest of these is, alas, the ECU. Locked tighter than Fort Knox, cracking the code is the holy grail of the performance aftermarket. As it stands, it’s been about brute force, from twin turbos to dropping a supercharger on top.

Of course, those tricks have been around for previous gens, too. Such is the case for this 2008 C6 4LT widebody in Jetstream Blue with around 73,000 miles. Here’s what its current owner, Corvette Forum member derekd7987, says about his ride:

Runs and looks great. No issues I’m aware of. Drive it frequently in the summer and even winter. Doesn’t leak or drip anything while sitting in garage or driving. Cold air and hot heat with heated seats […] I did not care about power with this car. Wanted a safe and reliable car on pump gas only. Didn’t want to deal with meth or anything else.

Not that he needs the madness of meth injection to burn it down. The widebody Corvette knocks out 627 horses and around 550 lb-ft of torque to the rear, thanks to its A&A C6 supercharger kit atop the LS3. Stopping the insanity is a full set of Z06 rotors with Wilwoods on top, while a custom exhaust lets out the mighty roar.

For those wondering what a 4LT trim includes, an answer from our Corvette Forum forums puts it thusly:

Custom Leather Wrapped Interior, features leather-wrapped upper instrument panel, upper door trim panels and console storage cover. Exclusive leather color and two-tone design includes seat headrest “tonal” crossed flag embroidery and enhanced armrest padding. Special Bias pattern console trim plate.

Thus, there’s plenty of Alcantra to go around inside the cabin. A lot of luxury to enjoy while leaving the competition to experience the sound and fury in a cloud of tire smoke.

The seller says he doesn’t have to sell his widebody Corvette, though his spare time is spent on his ’73 Camaro project; thus, he’d use the funds to build it.

That said, he’d rather keep his Corvette than deal with tire kickers who try to dicker him on the price ($38,500 to $41,000, depending on the wheels attached). Money talks, indeed.
