2022 C8 Corvettes

Video shows the difference between a stock C8 Corvette and a Lingenfelter custom exhaust–crank up the volume for the thundering banger.

The C8 Corvette comes off the line as a serious sports car. And it is just about perfect. Mid-engined and menacing, the C8 Corvette is not lacking in power. But each driver has different needs and desires for their ideal C8 Corvette. Since 1977, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering has reigned as one of the best in tuning GM and Chevrolet vehicles. But none more so than the Corvette.

The Lingenfelter team uses great finesse in modifying Corvettes. Their race-engineered history and high-performance prowess serves to turn up power and performance; while never sacrificing the Corvette’s uniqueness.

Lingenfelter Extreme C8 Exhaust vs Stock C8

Recently, Lingenfelter released the new Exclusive Corsa Extreme-S C8 Corvette Exhaust. Engineered with Corsa Performance, the stainless steel 4-valve exhaust system gives the C8 Corvette seriously impressive gains.

Looking at the C8 Corvette in action it is difficult to find anything to complain about. The video first gives us a nice juicy shot of a stock C8 Corvette. It looks great and sounds sonorous.

However, when compared to the Extreme-S exhaust, the C8 Corvette now emits an impossibly bold and raucous soundtrack. Lingenfelter’s performance is reflected in their clever use of color. The stock Corvette goes from toned down to turnt. Upgraded, the C8 is vivid and dynamic.

A great feature on the C8 exhaust is that it keeps the factory 4-valve design; allowing for drone free driving and factory exhaust controls. And the 4.5-inch black chrome tips fit well with the more aggressive performance.

But the exhaust also gives the C8 Corvette gains beyond its sinister sound. Performance increases include adding 19 RWHP and 15 RWTQ. All components are integrated with the factory ECM. And the system is lighter by 13 pounds over the OEM C8 Corvette.

Take a listen to the two C8 Corvettes–both are rousing and potent. Lingenfelter has added more grunt and growl, and the revs are a tasty growl.

Would you choose the admittedly-excellent stock C8 exhaust, or add a hi-performance exhaust like Lingenfelter’s?
