Anderson Composites Launches Full Carbon Fiber C8 Corvette Body Kit
Inspired by the C8.R, Anderson Composites’ full carbon fiber C8 Corvette body kit is an expensive but stunning offering.
Since it launched a few years ago, the C8 Corvette has been a popular target for companies that make body kits, and for good reason. After all, the mid-engine Corvette is a pretty exotic-looking machine as-is, and the right enhancements can make it even more so. However, many body kits out there are pretty gaudy, a little over-the-top, and sometimes, downright ugly. Thankfully, that isn’t the case with the new Anderson Composites full carbon fiber C8 Corvette body kit.
Anderson Composites has garnered a solid reputation in recent years for building some seriously cool carbon goodies for a variety of vehicles, including entire bodies made from the lightweight material. That trend continues with this carbon fiber C8 Corvette body kit, which looks pretty amazing, thanks partly to the fact that it borrows some heavy inspiration from the C8.R racer.
As such, the kit widens the C8 considerably – by a full 1.5 inches up front and 1 3/4 inches in the rear – along with a host of additional components including a front bumper with an integrated splitter and canards, vented front fenders, rear quarter panels, a fuel door, rocker panels with splitters, and a rear bumper with a diffuser, while other goods – including a carbon fiber hood, roof panel, hatch, doors, wing, and miscellaneous trim parts are also available.
While we’re pretty much used to seeing cheap fiberglass kits these days, as one might imagine, this much carbon fiber doesn’t come cheap. Rather this kit costs a whopping $19,999, but then again, it’s a true work of carbon fiber art. Then, you’re looking at paying for installation, most likely, as swapping out fenders isn’t something that a lot of owners are going to do themselves.
Regardless, the end result speaks for itself, as we can see from this particular C8 that has all of the goods from Anderson’s catalog thrown at it. This Corvette is also fitted with a set of 20×10.5-inch ADV.1 ADV005 Flowspec Series wheels in the front, with larger 21×10.5 inch units in the rear, both of which are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. It’s a nice-looking package for certain, though one that requires a rather large outlay of cash to acquire, too.
