Corvette detailing isn’t a cheap hobby, but with these Chemical Guys Amazon Prime Day deals, you might have a few bucks left over for gas.

Earlier today, our friends over at Amazon’s #1 car care brand, Chemical Guys, let us know about their Amazon Prime Day deals. Full disclosure: Chemical Guys is a sponsor on my LS3 Roadmaster Wagon project. But most of the time I’m just a normal customer that’s pretty familiar with CG products and pricing. In this context, I wouldn’t be writing this article if 1) I didn’t think the sale was genuine, or 2) if I didn’t have hands-on experience with the products below.

The full list of Chemical Guys Prime Day products is available HERE on Amazon.

Chemical Guys / The Detail Garage

This sale — which lasts through tomorrow, Wednesday, July 13 — features roughly 300 different products at 30% off. (Although there are a few better deals, like this 12-pack of microfiber towels for 41% off.) . So, instead of trying to list them all here or making you comb through seven pages, I thought I’d take you through my personal favorites:

Kits

Chemical Guys / The Detail Garage

If you’re new to detailing (or new to Chemical Guys), you may want to check out this 7-piece starter kit. It includes a wash mitt, three ultra-fluffy towels, a wheel cleaner, car soap, and an interior cleaner. Separately, I’ve spent over $40 on similar items and this sale effectively makes the mitt and towels free.

Clay Bars aren’t revolutionary, nor will I claim Chemical Guys clay is anything magical. But it’s a vital product for removing embedded debris from vehicle paint. And $14 is the best price I’ve ever seen on this OG Clay Bar kit. (Hit that link above for other clay bars.)

Chemical Guys / The Detail Garage Torq

If you’re thinking of getting into polishing — maybe you’ve got a survivor in need of a refresh or something fresh off the showroom floor that picked up swirls when the dealer washed it — check out this Torq Random Polisher Kit. I purchased this exact kit about five years ago (sigh, full price) and it’s a great learning tool. Random polishers are (nearly) idiot-proof in helping to remove swirl marks and light scratches without the risk of burn-through. And this kit includes three different polishing pads along with trial-sized bottles of compounds and polishes. The goal is to always uses the least abrasive product for any blemish, and this kit offers four levels of cutting power for you to try and get to know.

Chemicals

Chemical Guys products aren’t the cheapest on the market, but Max Suds II is one of their most affordable car shampoos. It’s designed more for working pros who need to stretch the volume. (And this one smells like grape juice.)

Diablo Wheel Cleaner is my go-to wheel cleaner. It’s not super powerful, nor will it salvage aluminum after decades of neglect, mind you. But it’s gentle and smooth and — with proper agitation — is perfect for removing brake dust from maintained wheels.

Growing up, the cool thing was the wet tire look… and that’s fine, of course. But for me, the perfect tire appearance is factory fresh. Clean, a little shine. And no sense of a car salesman trying to hide anything. Chemical Guys calls this a satin or natural look, for which they offer Natural Shine. Which is the perfect way to get your Michelin Pilot Sports back to OEM fresh.

After tearing a leaky, 30-year-old 5.7L TBI engine out of my Buick Roadmaster earlier this year, I turned to Orange Degreaser to help me clean the engine bay (and my driveway). This stuff is magical for shade-tree mechanics and for removing browning or blooming from tires. Just make sure to always rinse with water. And to dilute per the instructions.

Lastly, when it comes to keeping my fleet shining, I’ve moved over into the ceramic realm. Mostly because I’m clumsy and can’t seem to wax anything without getting it on plastic. Amidst a variety of ceramic products available across a wide spectrum of costs, from hobby-level to professional, my current favorite is HydroCharge Ceramic Spray Coating.

Chemical Guys HydroCharge Ceramic Spray Coating

It’s not as hard or as long-lasting as more traditional ceramic coatings. But it offers a great blend of value, protection, and ease of installation. I personally recommend layering a few installations up front and then maintaining it every six months or so. Each bottle is good enough for about 4-5 vehicles. Also, between applications, check out HydroSpeed Quick Detailer.
