Installation of Non-Factory Transaxle and Shift Points

If you plan to install a non factory transaxle (3.42, 3.73,
etc) in your automatic equipped C-5, you will also need a computer
upgrade. Without the computer upgrade, your shift points will be hosed.
For example, your car will not shift before redline and will bounce off
the rev limiter, then shift. This is not ideal !
Several
vendors sell computer upgrades including (in no particular order),
Hypertech, TTS/Steve Cole, and Doug Rippie Motorsports).
Note:
(1) Hypertech does not have a computer upgrade for 2001-02 Vettes as
of Dec. 2001.
(2) TTS does not have an upgrade for the 2002 Vette as
of Dec. 2001.
