2007 Corvette Review

2007.jpgLike almost every other American male, you’ve had a love affair with the Corvette for years. Everyone knows the Corvette is the Great American Sports Car
because the ?Vette delivers exotic car performance without the exotic
car price tag.

Now you’ve found a sweet looking 2007 Corvette for sale, but you want to learn a little more about this particular year model. The good news is, we’ve done the research for you.

Chevrolet added a number of enjoyment features as well as performance enhancements to the 2007. These new features include:

    -A larger glovebox
    -More and improved sound insulation
-Bigger brakes with cross-drilled rotors and the Magnetic Ride Control option
-Two-tone leather seating with embroidered accent panels

2007 also debuted two new special edition Corvettes to the Corvette lineup:

    -The Indy Pace Car Convertible
-The Ron Fellows Z06 inspired by the successful Corvette driver in the Le Mans Series.

The 2007 Corvette comes equipped with a 6.0 liter V8 engine which produces 400 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 400 foot pounds of torque at 4400 rpm. These power numbers delivers 0 to 60 acceleration times of 5.23 seconds. The performance braking system stops the Corvette from 60 miles per hour in 112.83 feet.

Even with all this power at your fingers, the ?Vette delivers a very respectable 26 miles per gallon on the highway. The Z06 comes with a surprising 7.0 liter V8 with performance numbers that are equally surprising: 505 horsepower at 6300 rpm and 475 foot pounds of torque at 4800 rpm. The Z06 has blazing acceleration to go with that horsepower: 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds. This extra horsepower comes with no hit to fuel economy, delivering the same 26 miles per gallon highway.

Curving lines, smooth transitions and air intakes highlight the exterior styling features. A big functional hood intake helps the engine breathe. Side scoops behind the doors route air to cool the rear brakes, while the fully functional front air dam performs 2 functions: providing down force as well as delivering cooling air to the beefy front brakes. Big styled 5-spoke 18 inch wheels hold the 275/35ZR18’s up front and 325/30-ZR18’s in the rear. The 2007 Corvette’s exterior styling helps it slice through the air quite easily and effectively, with a coefficient of drag of .31!

Whether you’re a collector or you’re looking for your first, the 2007 Corvette is an ideal addition to any garage.
