What Do You Want to See at SEMA 2011?

Halloween is almost here, and since I’m over costumes and candy, for me, that means only one thing?it’s almost time for SEMA! I’ve been covering the show since 2006, and this year I’m more excited than ever to hop on the plane to Sin City! We’ve already previewed the Carlisle Blue Concept and the Ron Fellows Tribute Corvette Z06, but there’s sure to be plenty of other killer Vettes there.

Because this annual Vegas blowout is?by far?the craziest car show I’ve experienced. For five days, full-scale Hot Wheels, million-dollar exotics, historic hot rods, ridiculous restomods, and acres of performance parts transform the floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center into gearhead nirvana. And while the focus is on crazy customs, the major manufactures generally bring a few surprises of their own.

Last year, the General arrived toting the ferociously awesome Z06X track car concept, and the Icy White weekend weapon had everyone on the floor wishing for a limited edition run. Of course, it never materialized. And that’s OK. Because SEMA isn’t about what’s practical or profitable?it’s about what’s possible.

The show is industry-only, so unless you’re the shiftless writer type?like yours truly?or working for an aftermarket supplier, you’re not getting through the door. But I’ll be on the floor snapping pics and videos of all the cool Corvette-related stuff I see, so Corvette Forum members won’t miss much.

That said, if there’s anything specific you’d like see, or have a question you’d like me to ask the General, head over to the Forum and comment on this thread!
