This 2007 Pratt & Miller-built Corvette C6RS is a truly special machine with a famous original owner and only 209 miles.

Special and limited-edition Corvettes are a dime a dozen these days, as everyone wants to enhance GM’s iconic sports car in a number of ways, then sell it at a premium. However, Pratt & Miller Engineering isn’t just your average aftermarket outfit looking to slap some carbon fiber bodywork or supercharger on a stock Corvette and call it a day. Rather, it’s a company that has enjoyed a long and rich history with Corvette Racing that includes many wins and titles. And that’s precisely what inspired the creation of this 2007 Corvette C6RS, which is currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.

The 2007 Chevrolet Corvette C6RS was created as a way to pay tribute to Pratt & Miller’s American LeMans Series C6R race car, but it was built in extremely limited quantities – just seven exist, in fact. This particular car is number four of that tiny group, and it was reportedly originally owned by another iconic figure in Corvette history – Ken Lingenfelter, who didn’t part ways with it until 2020. Unsurprisingly, those qualities have generated quite a bit of interest in this special car, particularly since it only has 206 original miles on the clock.

On the outside, the C6RS was treated to a carbon fiber body that’s 1.5 inches wider than the already-wide Z06, which is painted black in this case. Other exterior highlights include a front fascia with integrated brake ducts and ram-air induction, a waterfall-style hood, a carbon-fiber rear diffuser, functional carbon-fiber front fender louvers, rocker treatments, C6RS badges, quad exhaust outlets, and center-lock 18- and 19-inch black chrome BBS forged aluminum wheels wrapped with 295/30 front and 345/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

Along with the typical interior stitching and badging, the Corvette C6RS features its fair share of mechanical upgrades, which start under the hood with a Katech Performance-built 8.2-liter V8 pumping out 600 horsepower, which it sends to the rear wheels via a blueprinted Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Underneath, other highlights include active handling, speed-sensitive power steering, Arvin Meritor Dynamic Height Control, and brakes consisting of Brembo calipers and 13.5-inch front and 14-inch cross-drilled rotors.

A special, incredibly rare, and super low-mile machine, this C6RS is unsurprisingly racking up bids as we speak, with the sales price reaching $180k as of this writing. But then again, the opportunity to own one of these cars doesn’t come along very often, and it might be the best of its small bunch, too.
