New Corvette’s License Plate Cover Looks Sharp

Bravo, GM. It appears mounting a front license plate will be less of an aesthetic penalty than ever before. You’re looking at a C7 Corvette fitted with the front-grille Aero Cover.

The gloss-black cover you see here comes standard on the 2014 Corvette Stingray. Chevy makes an optional carbon-fiber cover to suit those who want to be different.

Unfortunately, mounting a white license plate would still disturb the Corvette’s front-end appearance …

If you live in Illinois, you can get one of those White Sox plates that would blend nicely with the front grille.
