Corvette C7.R and Z06 to Debut at 2014 Detroit Auto Show

If you’re excited about the C7 Corvette Z06 debuting next month at the Detroit Auto show, get ready to be a little more excited because Chevrolet is also debuting the C7.R in Detroit. We still don’t know much about the C7.R except that it will begin competition at the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway on Jan. 25.

Chevrolet says the C7.R and Z06 were co-developed, and that both share a connection unrivaled by recent Corvette race cars and road cars.

As the racing Corvette gets a refresh, so does its iconic Jake logo. Much like how new car designs often begin as napkin art, the Jake logo has the same humble beginnings. These days, Jake is Corvette Racing’s unofficial mascot, and he’s looking better than ever.
