The NASCAR legend is parting ways with his personal C8 Corvette to raise funds for a very worthy cause.

For years now, the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation (JGCF) has held its annual fundraiser – Corvette for a Cure – in an effort to raise money for pediatric cancer research, and each year, the charitable organization run by the NASCAR legend of the same name does precisely that, in a very big way. This year’s Corvette for a Cure is a bit different, however, as Gordon has actually put his very own C8 Corvette up for grabs via a ticket raffle, giving one lucky person the chance to help a worthy cause and score a sweet ride at the same time.

The C8 Corvette in question – which belongs to the NASCAR Hall of Famer, four-time champion, and Hendrick Motorsports vice chairman – is a 3LT coupe with the Z51 Performance Package and front lift, a very nicely-equipped machine to go along with its celebrity ownership history. It’s finished in Jet Black with a Jet Black interior that also features red accents, and touts an original sticker price of $89,870.

The winner of this particular C8 Corvette will also get $10,000 in cash if they enter before September 22, while federal taxes will be covered as well. Entries cost $100 for 100, which is the lowest possible increment, and those that enter can purchase up to 25 total entries at that cost. The sweepstakes itself only runs through September 29, so those that are interested in entering will want to do so post haste.

The best part about this particular drawing, of course, is that all of the proceeds benefit Corvette for a Cure, which has raised a total of $14 million and granted $22 million for pediatric cancer research over the past 16 years while also opening the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital in Concord, North Carolina, and the Butaro Cancer of Excellence in Rwanda. These efforts are particularly important since cancer is the number one cause of death by disease for children, though it only accounts for four percent of of the National Cancer Institute’s budget.
