What C8 Corvette Options or Features Do You Wish You Had or Hadn’t Paid For?

C8 Corvette Options and Features

There are quite a few C8 Corvette options and features that owners regret, as well as ones they regret not getting.

While many of us put considerable time and effort into spec’ing our cars exactly the way we like them, typically, there’s always at least one thing that we wish we had gotten, or perhaps other things that we wish we hadn’t. It’s just difficult to figure out precisely what we like and don’t like until we’ve lived with a vehicle for a while, and the Corvette is no exception. And that’s precisely the theme behind this recent thread at Corvette Forum – what C8 Corvette options did you wish you had or hadn’t paid for?

“I was thinking over the weekend that my C8 is the only new vehicle I have ever purchased where I had not found myself slightly wishing I either had or had not gotten certain features, colors, or equipment,” said Corvette Forum member Kevin A Jones. “It’s a good feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. Anyone else feel perfectly satisfied with how they ordered out their C8? Anyone wish they had or had not got certain features or equipment? If so, what were they if you don’t mind sharing?”

Interestingly enough, Jones isn’t the only one that feels this way, as Bird67 chimes in a similar sentiment. “When I picked up my ’22 I put down a deposit on a ’23 just in case. I figured there would have to be one thing I regretted not getting or getting. Nope. When MM called for my ’23 order, I let it go – even though it was price protected and everything. When you’ve got a gem you hold onto it…”

However, there are others who have some regrets they’re happy to share, some of them due to supply constraints, as well as others that came from personal decisions. “GT2 seats,” said Zormecteon “I’ve had the car for over a year, 13,000+ miles and STILL can’t quite get comfy on drives over 2 hours long.” “Front lift,” added HAD2HAVE. “I wouldn’t really need it if the stock splitter was made of urethane plastic instead of the hard plastic used on the C8 splitter.”

This thread certainly contains some interesting responses, ones that would be particularly helpful for anyone that’s in the process of ordering a new Corvette. There are undoubtedly lots of C8 Corvette options and features that current owners wish they had spent the extra money on, as well as others they wish they hadn’t. So be sure and head over here to scope them all out, and then chime in with your own opinion on the matter!
