‘Top Gear’ Pits the Corvette C7 Against the Porsche Cayman GTS
Top Gear just can’t seem to get enough of the Corvette C7, which is inspiring some really good reviews on the car across the pond.
Roaring out of a televised episode that aired last week, featuring Richard Hammond testing the new Stingray as covered here, BBC is now sharing videos featuring The Stig hammering the C7 through some tricky turns.
In Hammond’s review, he pits the Corvette up against the Cayman GTS, which, he says, is really the only thing you can truly gauge the C7 against when it comes to price, as all the other comparable sports cars are so much more expensive.
But Hammond admits it’s really no comparison when it comes to power, considering that the Porsche only has 336 horses against the C7’s 460, while sporting a lot less torque than its American “rival.”
Hammond even praises the handling of the C7, saying that overall it’s the best sports car to ever come out of America.
The Stig sticks to his usual silent treatment when testing the two sports cars, which you can view here, but we think we can guess which car he likes best.
