C7 Corvette Stingray Scores Big With Consumer Reports
Considering any good Consumer Reports write-ups about a GM car have been hard to come by, we’ll certainly take this glowing one about the Corvette C7.
Doing far more than just passing the test, the Corvette Stingray scored 92 points in the publication’s annual rating of vehicles, which rates automobiles on a series of more than 50 tests, including safety, performance, fuel economy, comfort/convenience, warranty, and specifications, as reported by GM Authority.
After putting the Stingray through the paces, deputy editor for Consumer Reports, Jeff Bartlett, even used words like “breathtaking”, “tenacious”, and “fantastic” to describe the C7.
“It’s by far the most extreme and exciting Corvette that’s been widely offered,” said the editor.
The Corvette actually scored the highest of any American sports car on the list. The closest runner-up was the Camaro with just 66 points.
In other words, it wasn’t even close.
