Corvette C7 Stingray vs Lamborghini Gallardo Drag Race

The new C7 Corvette Stingray is a hell of a car. I myself was completely blown away by the sheer level of both raw torque and sophistication that the LT1 V8 imparts. However, never did I stop to think that it could beat an Italian supercar.

But apparently I should have.

When you think of the Corvette, most people have the idea that the car is for the all-American drag racing guy in his late 50s, has a bit of a paunch, wears Hawaiian shirts, and is definitely balding. However, the Corvette has come a long way from that old image, as the video below most definitely proves.

This drag race, while very illegal, shows just how awesome the new Corvette is. In it, a new Z51 package C7 Stingray goes up against a Lamborghini Gallardo along a long stretch of highway.

When I first saw this, I figured the Lambo would walk the ‘Vette, just due to the increased horsepower and AWD. Let’s just say I was stunned by the outcome.
