C6 Corvette Grand Sport Callaway SC606 Is Immaculate With Just 10K Miles
This well-kept C6 Corvette Grand Sport Callaway SC606 is a value proposition for a special machine that can do it all.
Callaway has been associated with the Corvette for decades at this point, earning such a strong reputation along the way that the aftermarket outfit now enjoys a cozy relationship with GM. As such, Callaway has been able to offer some pretty amazing modified Corvettes and upgraded parts for the past several generations, including the new C8. However, this nicely-kept C6 Corvette Grand Sport Callaway SC606 up for grabs at Bring a Trailer is a true blast from the past, and a nice alternative to the more modern mid-engine sports car.
With just 10k miles on the clock, this car’s Cyber Gray Metallic paint looks essentially brand new, and is complemented by Pearl White fender stripes. There are signs that it’s no ordinary C6, however, including its Callaway C16 hood, carbon-fiber front splitter, adjustable rear spoiler, fender vents, badging, and stainless-steel Double-D exhaust system peeking through the rear. The whole thing rolls on staggered 18- and 19-inch wheels wrapped with 275/35 front and 325/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
The interior is mostly stock, however, equipped with Titanium Gray and black leather seats, the Memory Package, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bose audio, navigation, a Callaway short-throw shifter, Callaway door threshold panels and embroidered floor mats, and a plaque on the center console that displays the car’s VIN, informing passengers that they’re riding in something special.
Power comes from GM’s 6.2-liter LS3 V8, which has been modified with the addition of a TVS2300 supercharger, a Honker high-flow intake system, an air-to-liquid intercooler integrated into the intake manifold, a high-flow fuel pump and injectors, and an auxiliary fuel pump controller, which is good for 606 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque – appropriate numbers for the Callaway SC606 package. Power flows to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Nicely kept with a six figure sticker price, this C6 Corvette Grand Sport Callaway SC606 is a truly nice piece from the recent past, one that someone will likely take home at a discount. Whoever manages to do that likely won’t regret the decision either, as they quite literally don’t make cars like this anymore.
