How-To Tuesday: Bluetooth Your Corvette, Hard-Wire Style
Going from a stock C6 to one with a hard-wired Bluetooth set up won’t be your easiest DIY, but it won’t be the most difficult one either. Newer owners of the Corvette have all of the coolest tech, but it wasn’t long ago that it simply wasn’t a stock option, which you didn’t think twice about. Getting into a new C7 and turning on the Bluetooth option on your phone is easy, but for those not driving the newest GM wondertoy, this article may be just for you.
An article in Corvette Forum‘s “How-Tos” section goes to great lengths to help C5 and C6 Corvette owners take a walk down the tech install side. The article takes us step by step (without the New Kids on the Block background music) through hard wiring a C5 or C6 for Bluetooth connectivity.
There are seven basic steps in the article linked above. After reading through the article, I feel confident that I could pull off this worthwhile upgrade. We are reminded daily that we need to keep focused while driving, and this is yet another way to help with the task. Being able to converse without holding on to your phone is certainly an advantage in all situations.
I encourage you to read through the article and learn the best way to make this installation a reality in your Corvette. It may just be one that I will also be looking into for my own purposes. Best of luck, take your time, and safe driving!
