OPTIMA Presents How-To Tuesday: Installing Carbon Fiber Corvette Wheel Center Caps

Carbon fiber is such a wonder material. Light and flexible, one can put it just about anywhere. Fortunately for us, the price has come down significantly and the applications are now aplenty. But it’s still impractical to make an entire car out of the material, even if some of us would love to. With that said, carbon fiber highlights are no longer just for those who have Warren-Buffet-size bank accounts.  And carbon fiber wheel center caps offer great flair on a vehicle, especially the Corvette.

Well, the “How-To” writers for Corvette Forum have come to our aid. Once again, they are going to save us from having to pay someone else to do something we can do ourselves. This week we are bringing you writer William Henderson and his 5-step process for teaching all of us how to set up and install carbon fiber center caps on our cars. He has even been generous enough to toss in a handy-dandy YouTube video on the process.

Check out the article here. I’m thinking some of us may find the most difficult part of the entire process is going to be trying to procure a hair dryer. Everything else on the list should be relatively easy to get … even the carbon fiber.
