2024 Corvette ERAY Accidently Revealed on Chevrolet Visualizer

2024 E-Ray Chevrolet Visualizer

Thanks to the Chevrolet Visualizer we get our best look yet at the 2024 ERAY as well as the details on new interior and exterior colors.

It seems that someone over at Chevrolet may have had a bit too much holiday cheer at the office holiday party. The Chevrolet Visualizer for the 2024 ERAY was accidently pushed live for a brief period of time. Our friends over at Corvette Blogger and a few CorvetteForum members managed to grab a couple of screenshots before someone in the Chevrolet IT department was alerted and pulled the site down. Even though the application is no longer live this is by far the best look yet we have of the new ERAY. No more camouflage spy photos. This is the real deal and there are quite a few exciting details revealed.

We don’t yet know all the performance specifications for the 2024 ERAY. This leak did not reveal that information. However, it is expected to be powered by the same LT2 V8 that currently sits in the Stingray. But it should make more power in the ERAY thanks to electric assist motors in the front axles. And for the first time in Corvette history this power will be sent to all four wheels. There is a new ZER Performance Package listed for the ERAY, but it is not clear what that will entail. So, while we still need to speculate on these details the Chevrolet Visualizer leak did provide quite a bit of information on how the ERAY will look so let’s get into that.

Widebody

Chevrolet Visualizer

You can be forgiven if you mistake the ERAY for the Z06. That is because in all the renderings that we see the ERAY sports the same widebody found on the Z06. One interesting difference though is that on the ERAY all the trim around the air intakes is body color. There are other subtle differences as well. The exhaust will exit through four pipes on the outboard rear of the car just like the Stingray. It will not have the center exhaust of the Z06. And the Z06 badging is replaced with ERAY badging. However, thanks to the widebody the ERAY does have a more aggressive look compared to the Stingray.

Colors

new colors

Interior and exterior color changes are coming in 2024. 13 exterior colors are listed. New colors being added are Riptide Blue Metallic, Cacti, and Sea-Wolf Gray Tri-Coat. Ceramic Matrix Gray, Elkhart Lake Blue, Caffeine Metallic, and White Pearl Tri-Coat are being dropped. On the inside the Ceramic interior is gone and replaced with a new color called Artemis. This appears do be a dark gray or even a dark green color. The Level 2 Carbon Fiber interior trim package and the Stealth interior trim package is also available. And of course, the ERAY badging on the bottom of the steering square is presented here. Other than that, the interior seems to be standard Corvette fare. The controversial wall of buttons will remain.

Other Details

Interior

Wheel options were also revealed in the visualizer leak. There are seven different wheel options. Three of them are carbon fiber options. You can have your carbon fiber wheel painted black or painted black with a red stripe around the outside of the rim. You can also have your carbon fiber wheel unpainted with a visible weave. The remaining wheel choices are aluminum finished in your choice of Pearl Nickel, Carbon Flash, Bright Polished, or Satin Black with a Blue stripe. Another interesting detail is what appears to be a “ReGen on Demand” button located near the right hip of the driver. This is expected to allow one-pedal driving that will slow the car whenever the driver is not pressing the gas. Some folks love this feature, while others hate it, so it is nice to have the option.

2024 E-Ray in Cacti

Based on the new information we now have this is how I would spec my ERAY. I would go with the new Cacti color exterior and Artemis interior. I would add the Carbon Fiber wheel with exposed weave. And of course, I need that ZER Performance Package. Again, we are not sure exactly what that includes but it seems to include at least some stickier Michelin tires and some additional aero. Who wouldn’t want that? More details about the ERAY should hopefully be coming soon. And this leak offered enough insight to whet our appetites for the full reveal. There is now even more buzz around the ERAY. So, perhaps this leak wasn’t by accident at all.
