4 Reasons a Corvette Is Better Than an Aston Martin
When comparing a lovely marque such as Aston Martin to Corvette, you might assume that a lot of the bias towards Corvette will lie in the category of “value.” And it does. There’s an astronomical price difference in terms of what you get out of each car in terms of quality and performance. But even though we will list value as a Corvette advantage, there’s a few other reasons why our beloved American can show the Brit a thing or two.
1. You can do more stuff to a Corvette:
Aftermarket support for LS engines, and the Corvette is almost insurmountable to take in. Want it to be a road-racing corner conqueror? Want it to zip down the 1/4 mile? There’s literally hundreds of manufacturers, with hundreds of parts that are at your disposal.
2. There aren’t a bunch of Aston Martins doing 8s in the 1/4 mile:
It seems like every week we hear about some new record or an incredibly fast pass being set by a C6 or C7. Like this C7 Z06, or this record pass for a stock C7 Z06. Yeah, an Aston Martin is fast, but a Z06 will still cream it.
3. They look just as menacing:
An Aston Martin looks sleek and sophisticated. But a C7 Z06 (like this matte black example above) looks like it’ll give you a limp if you haven’t paid back money that you owe.
4. Larger and more friendly Corvette community:
There’s also no doubt that the community that surrounds Corvettes is much more tightly knit, friendly, and welcoming. Actually, to see that in person, stop by the St. Jude’s Open Car Show near Baton Rouge on April 23rd.
