Now THIS is a paint job worth talking about. Better yet, it was done by a former sneaker designer. Well, that’s not really fair, Brett Golliff is the Color and Trim Lead Designer for Chevrolet Performance and Chevrolet Crossover at General Motors, but he used to do design work for New Balance.

The Washington Auto Show at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center is in full swing through the end of the month, and this C7 Stingray is surely one of the highlights. As you can see in the progression of his Instagram posts below, Golliff was given a blank white Corvette to start an exhibit on the show room floor. From there, he blended a yellow, orange, and red fade, which he taped some stripes over. Then came the gorgeous purple top coat.

There’s also a large painted canvas behind the car to match. Beautiful, beautiful work.
