The Best Ways to Beat a Dead Horse on Corvette Forum
They are the discussions that never end. Sometimes they’re about aesthetics, sometimes about performance, and sometimes about car care, but they all have one thing in common: these are the seven best ways to beat a dead horse on Corvette Forum.
1. Manual vs. Automatics
It used to be a bit one-sided, but with transmission technology making automatic transmissions both faster and more efficient, the argument isn’t so clear cut these days.
2. Black Wheels vs. Chrome Wheels
This is purely a demographic based argument, and absolutely nothing about one rim’s color makes it factually better than another. It’s all about taste.
3. Coupe vs. Convertible
Open-top fun toy or focused performance machine? We all have our tastes, and there are Corvettes for the casual enthusiast, as well as the hard-core track-day driver.
4. Driving in the Rain vs. Protectionism
Some Corvette owners refuse to drive in rain or otherwise inclement weather. Other owners will daily their car and even expose it to the automotive evil known as road salt.
5. Cash vs. Financing
Dropping a wad of cash isn’t something that everyone can do. That, however doesn’t make a financed Corvette any less cool.
6. The Z51: “Option” vs. “Model”
This one never goes away. Some insist that there is such a distinguished difference between the base model and a Z51 optioned car, that it constitutes a new model.
7. C6 Value vs. C7 Performance
There’s no doubt the C6 is very inexpensive right now. Value for dollar, it looks more appealing than the C7, but is the C7’s extra cost worth the extra refinement? And of course one can’t leave here without a general complaint about the C7 itself. You know, because the ZR1 was better or something.
