Yup, there’s something about the heart and soul of a car. And let’s be clear, by heart and soul, we’re not talking about a vehicle’s exterior design. Nope, this post is all about that thing that really gives an automobile life, like the LT4 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that powers the much-beloved C7 Corvette Z06, as showcased in this photo we pulled from the official Corvette Facebook page.

Sure, without everything else needed to put the Z06 in motion — like either the 7-speed manual or eight-speed auto transmission, the lightweight body, and those Michelin Pilot Sport Cup ZP tires — the Z06 is really nothing more than a powerful, pulsating piece of stationary machinery. But when it’s all packaged with that LT4 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, the car comes to life like no other vehicle on the road.

That, my friends, is what defines the heart and soul of a car.
