This HEMI-powered C7 Corvette is shaking things up, and for good reason. Racing for a top spot in the Radial Revolution No Mercy races at South Georgia Motorsports Park and Tulsa Raceway Park, this 3,500-horsepower C7 creams almost everything in its path.
Both tracks are 1/8 mile races, which puts a more-focused attention to launch and driver skill. Daniel Pharris drives the Corvette in the video below, and his consistency to dip into the 3-second range is mesmerizing. Actually, his first pass of a 3.80 sets the tone for the entire video.
This C7 is powered by a 548ci pro-mod HEMI with twin 102 mm turbos. It was picked for a higher top end, and for the fact that “HEMI’s like air, and turbos make air.” Apparently, the car likes air as well, because during the first round of Radial vs The World, the C7 lifts the nose up considerably at about the 330-feet mark. It forced Daniel to back off and even pull the ‘chute. Thanks to an engine issue in the other lane, though, Pharris still won that race.
Daniel and the C7 continued to put up a good fight for the rest of the races, but to see how the finals go down, you’ll have to check out the video below.
