Corvette Forum Poll: Top 5 Cars Under $200,000
Corvette Forum has spoken! Let’s build a collective dream garage, shall we?
Our loyal members are an awesome resource. Be it questions about Corvette issues, secret intel on cool driving roads, or simply shooting the breeze, they’re always there, ready to help.
Sometimes Corvette Forum members even like to take a break from the real world, and discuss what other cars they’d buy with a $200,000 budget … in addition to their trusty ‘Vettes, of course! We went ahead and surveyed the entire thread to see which rides stood out most frequently. We have all five winners here for you below.
Check them out, and don’t forget to let us know your top five rides!
C7 Corvette Z06
This one doesn’t come as a surprise, does it? Motor Trend is right when they call it the high-performance bargain of the century. The C7 Corvette Z06 is, by all means, the king of bang for the buck.
Viper ACR
We know this video will ignite some fires, but in the end, no one can run away from the truth. This is the duel of the century: the mighty Viper ACR versus the king of the ‘Vettes! The ACR’s downforce and barely street-legal approach helped it break 13 track records in 2016, including Laguna Seca.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a controversial choice due to its price. Although it has an MSRP under $200,000, it retails for much more than that. In the thread, this ride surfaced as many Corvette owners’ “dream track ride.”
Lamborghini Huracan
There has to be at least one Italian in everyone’s dream garage, and the Huracan is an excellent choice. Something else that’s excellent is this video review by Jason Cammisa, and his usage of Skittles for video props. For what it’s worth, the Huracan beat the Ferrari California T by a small margin.
McLaren 570S
This may be the “entry level” McLaren, but it’s still a British supercar through-and-through. A carbon fiber tub, wild F1-derived technology, and a 3.2 second 0-60 mph time make this an incredibly desirable machine, indeed.
So, how well does the majority’s opinion line up with yours? Let us know!
