Funniest Forum Thread Award Goes To: “Corvettes and Cannabis”

Here’s a question no one needed to ask. Should there be a “Corvettes and Cannabis” car show?

Cars and coffee, chrome and coffee, motors and morning brew. There are a million combinations out there to associate a gathering of rides with an early-morning car show. One that’s never been suggested, till now, appeared on Corvette Forum, and the ensuing thread had quite a few laughs.

The whole thread starts out with a pondering if there’s ever been a “Corvettes and Cannabis” style car show for any of the states that now have the drug legal for recreational use. If it seems like an odd question to us, it certainly was for our forum users, too. Luckily, our forum members have a great sense of humor.

Corvettes could be associated with other things aside from cannabis, such as “dbgoodwin’s” quip: “I think Corvettes and carpal tunnel is more likely given the Corvette’s general age demographic.” This was followed by another brainstorm, also by dbgoodwin: “Wait, I got a better one: Corvettes and colonoscopies.” We’re not sure coverage of that kind of event needs to take place.

And we couldn’t help but have a good chuckle at “001pweter’s” excellent placement of sarcasm: “I’m in Mustangs and meth.”

But as one would expect, the thread took on a more somber tone as the prospect of driving while impaired came up. Regardless of which influence you’re under, both are unsafe for driving. That tone pretty much stayed with the rest of the thread. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
