Stunning 1957 Corvette Unveiled at SEMA
Kindig-It Designs unveiled their latest creation, a 1957 Corvette, at the Borla Exhaust stand, and it’s gorgeous.
Dave Kindig is best known for the TV show Bitchin’ Rides. He’s also known for some incredible work at his shop, Kindig-It. However, this particular ride snuck in under the radar. Customizers can easily go too far over-the-top on a build, but we think you’ll agree this 1957 Corvette hits all the right notes. From the two-tone paint to the all red leather interior, everything is extravagant and beautiful.
Although the car is a head turner, the small updated touches are appropriate. For example, the flat-bottom steering wheel is very modern but the way it’s been blended in doesn’t undercut the classic tone of the car.
It was shown at the Borla booth at the SEMA Show, because of some key components that help the Lingenfelter engine under the hood do its job. The first is a Borla Induction LS Kit. The kit is based around four 50-mm downdraft throttles on a cast aluminum manifold and high-volume fuel rails that sit inside the V. Like everything Borla does, it’s built to perform and last. The icing on the cake here is that the horns are also polished.
Another key component to this build is the Borla ProXS Mufflers. They’re made from T-304 stainless steel and use high-temperature continuous-filament fiber for sound control. We can’t wait to hear what Borla’s straight-through system sounds like on this project.
We’re excited about Borla at the moment. They are making a new line of exhaust systems based off of #ProjectStork. If you haven’t heard of that already, it’s our own Manuel Carrillo III’s Rennlist project car. It’s not a Corvette, but it is special: It’s the Porsche 911 that his parents transported him home from the hospital with when he was born. After 16 years of the car sitting in a garage, Borla is part of the team bringing it back into the world.
