Radness was flowing at the Radwood 2 car show, and this C4 couldn’t be ignored.
Melding a love for cars with a somewhat overlooked segment has been the goal of Radwood from day one. And if there’s any proof of magic in that idea, the Radwood 2 car show has proven it. Hosted at the Phoenix club last week, hoards of cars from 1980 all the way through 1999 came in to show off that funky transition between boxy and sleek automobile designs. Our focus though, was on Corvettes–and this 1991 L98 6-speed example stole our hearts, and won “Best Corvette in Show.” We chatted with the owner of the righteous ride.
Darrell is the owner of this gorgeous ‘Vette and he’s only had it scarcely more than a year. That hasn’t stopped him from driving it quite a lot, however. This machine has turned more miles in the last year of Darrell’s ownership than it had in the entire 15 year run prior to him buying it. That means it has just shy of 35,000 miles on it. That mileage is a testament to its condition. To say it looks like it is fresh out of the showroom is an understatement.
Speaking of fresh out of the showroom, if you send your VIN to the National Corvette Museum, they will spend you special laminated sheets containing your window sticker, RPO build sheet, and you can even buy a new-old-stock C4 Corvette brochure to match the radness of your car.
