Should You Buy This Clean Corvette for Just $6,950?

The Chevrolet Corvette is a legendary car around the world, one that many people would love to own and drive, regardless of the model year. If you are one of those people who would like to invest in a low-priced Corvette that is in good shape with a small price, this Craigslist posting from Woodland Hills, California might be the sports car for you.

A budget Corvette

The C7 Corvette is an awesome machine, but to many people, spending more than $50,000 on a sports car is out of the question. That leads many sports car shoppers to look at older models, but the C5 models are still demanding upwards of $15,000 and a used C6 will cost you even more.

You can look into much older models, but if you get into the C1, C2 and early C3 era, those Corvettes are all popular collectables. The later C3 models were real dogs in stock form, but the C4 era offers better performance, a more modern look and better drivability. The only problem with many C4s is that they have been ridden hard and put away wet, so enjoying one can often begin with a lengthy project.

Fortunately, with this 1988 Corvette, the price is low and there doesn’t appear to be much work needed for a great cruiser.

A great looking C4

As you can see in the pictures here, this 1988 Chevrolet Corvette is in excellent shape for a 30-year old car. The ad says that it has “nice paint”, and that appears to be true, while the new seats spruce up the interior. The car also has new tires, a new automatic transmission and a new steering rack, so while the car is 30 years old, most of the key components are much younger.

The ad states that the car has under 50,000 miles and with a price of just $6,950, it looks like a great car for the price. This one might be good enough to travel from other parts of the country to buy and make a “great American road trip” in your new-to-you Corvette.
