Have C6 Corvette ZR1 Prices Bottomed Out?
C6 Corvette ZR1 offered super car-thrashing performance, has it since been relegated to just ‘old car’ status?
The C6 Corvette ZR1 was a marvel when it debuted in 2009. With 638 horsepower and 604 lb-ft of torque from it’s supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8 engine, it could easily take down unknowing Ferraris and Lamborghinis. There is a reason why it was given the codename ‘Blue Devil’ by those who developed it. The blue supercharger cover poking through the hood also gives it some massive street cred.
However, it’s been nearly a decade since the C6 ZR1 debuted, and a lot has changed in the realm of performance cars. Now, the current Z06 makes more power, and has stronger performance than the old ZR1. As a result of this, and several other factors, C6 ZR1 prices have been trending downwards. Though, by and large, the prices had seemed to stop and hover around the $60,000 mark, like the car pictured above. After all, it is still a limited-production model Corvette.

So you can consider us a bit surprised to find this low-mileage 2010 ZR1 on Craigslist, with an asking price of just $51,500. It has a clean title, and is barely broken in at 19,998 miles. It’s being sold by a dealership, no less. So, what gives, have ZR1 prices continued to drop?

Well, kinda. Right away, we spot several modifications on this ZR1, which certainly don’t help the value among many of the Corvette faithful. That said, they do seem to be some nice upgrades thrown in the mix. We spy an Akrpovic exhaust system, and an aftermarket shifter.
Looking past the modifications, the name of this dealership also caught our eye. The name ‘Wholesale Investments, Inc.’ makes us suspect this ZR1 was an auction purchase. After all, the word ‘wholesale’ is in their name. Is the possibly spotty auction history of this ZR1 enough to turn you away, or is the price tag just right?
