C5 Corvette Z06 for Sale is Ready to Tear Things Up in Autocross

C5 Z06 Autocross monster.

Corvette Forum member is parting with their super sharp C5 Z06 as a turnkey, class-competitive package.

We came across this post in our Corvette Forum Marketplace, from user JohnRogers, and we can’t help but marvel at how good it looks on top of how well it reportedly performs. According to Rogers, the current setup on the C5 Z06 took him to 1st place in Champ Tour and 2nd in ProSolo Super Challenge at the autocross 2018 SCCA Spring Nationals in Lincoln, Nebraska.

It looks so good because it was purchased from a Corvette collector in early 2017 with very low miles already, and then fastidiously cared for by Rogers co-driver. According to the posting, even the “Underside of the chassis has been detailed to near like-new condition.” He also mentions all the stickers have been removed and the paint cleaned up for the next owner. The lack of cone-rash also suggests the car and driver have been very much in tune with each other.

If that’s just the outside of a race car, then you know it’s going to be a bit special underneath. The turnkey package includes Koni Sport dampers with just 500 miles on them, Flow One F4 wheels specced for SCCA A Street without need for spacers or extended studs, Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires with just 20 runs on them, a Borla exhaust and a Jim McKamey “Plan B” rear sway bar used to complement the front stock OEM bar.

For $24,500, it looks like one hell of a deal and just goes to show how much car there is out there for your money. For that, you could go to a dealer and buy a base model Mazda MX-5 with just enough power to get out of its own way or a lean, clean, track monster with fewer miles on it than the Mazda’s warranty.
