Corvette Z06s Throw Down in Supercharged Street Racing Action
C5, C6 and C7 Corvette Z06s beat Mustangs, Camaro and a turbo truck.
The video above comes to us from the Street Car Videos YouTube channel and as the title promises, it features 10 minutes of quality street racing with a handful of Corvette Z06 coupes leading the charge. There is an assortment of vehicles of other makes and models, including a couple quick Ford Mustangs, a couple quick Cadillacs, a bottled Camaro and a wicked turbocharged Silverado, but there is no question that the trip of Z06 coupes put on the best show.
Z06 Battles
The video begins with a quick look at each of the Corvettes involved, including a supercharged C5 Z06, a supercharged C6 Z06 and a cammed C7 Z06. As they take to the street, the C5 and C6 race first, with the older car walking away with ease. Next, the C7 takes on the C5 and while the LT4 car takes an early lead, the C5 ends up pulling back around at high speed.
After that, the C6 and C7 race a handful of times, several of which are throw-out runs. For some reason, the C6 doesn’t start on the first run and the C7 doesn’t go on the second. Fortunately, the third run was clean and the C7 Corvette Z06 handed out a beating.
In Come the Mustangs
Next, a pair of Paxton-supercharged Ford Mustang GTs go head to head and trade wins, followed by a third Mustang that used turbo power to pummel the supercharged pony car with 880 horsepower.

A Magnuson-supercharged Cadillac CTS-V coupe rolls up next for a shot at the 880-horsepower Ford, but while the Caddy is said to have more than 900 horsepower, the Mustang takes the win in back-to-back battles.
Turbo Chevy Pickup
The next segment features an assortment of high performance vehicles, but the most unusual is a turbocharged Chevrolet Silverado 1500. This half-ton truck takes on a bottled 5th gen Camaro and beats it with ease before taking on and beating a tuned CTS-V. After both losing to the truck that CTS-V and Camaro go at it and the Cadillac takes the easy win.
The big truck then takes on two different Ford Mustangs and while the Chevy held the early lead, the smaller, lighter pony cars both got the win on the top end.
The Main Event
After watching so many different vehicles battle on the highway, the final run of the lengthy video might be the best. It pits a worked C6 Corvette ZR1 against the turbocharged Mustang GT from earlier in the video. This white Mustang stomped the newer supercharged pony car, making it the strongest Ford in the video, but it proves to be no match for the supercharged Chevy.
