Recently-formed social group for Corvette owners in the Great White North has first meeting May 17.
If you live in the eastern half of Canada and own a Corvette, you’ll want to check out the newly-formed Northeastern Ontario Corvettes club.
“Our goal is to establish ourselves as a social group of Corvette owners,” club founder Guy Tessier told Bay Today.
The Northeastern Ontario Corvettes area primarily encompasses the Highway 17 corridor from Elliot Lake, Manitoulin, Espanola, Greater Sudbury, St. Charles, Noelville, and all towns near the North Bay Nipissing area including Mattawa.
The group is currently searching for new members and sponsors. “We will plan rides, plan Corvette dealerships days, do weekend outings to other club events, and plan dinners during weekdays,” says Tessier.
The club’s first meeting is scheduled for May 17 at P&M’s Kouzzina in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Several fun runs are already on the calendar for later this year.
Current sponsors of Northeastern Ontario Corvettes club include parts dealer Corvette Depot, advertising company Hiamedia, and detailing products store Auto Glym.
On the group’s website you’ll find other Corvette links of interest, member car photos, an events calendar, and merchandise. The group lists the North Bay Food Bank and the Sudbury Food Bank as its charities of choice.
“We will build our membership and together,” Tessier says of his club’s long-term goals. “We will be successful and have fun doing it.”
