1965 Corvette Is a Highlight of Upcoming ‘Fall Carlisle’ Auction

October 2-6 event features beautiful rides on the auction block and a huge automotive flea market. 

The 2019 Fall Carlisle event will soon be upon us. This four-day auto fest includes an expansive automotive flea market and car corral, the Manufacturers Midway, and the hugely popular 2019 Fall Carlisle Auction. It will be taking place on October 2-6 at the Carlisle, PA, Fairgrounds. If you’re not in the area, however, you can do your bidding online.

One item that caught our eye was this stunning 1965 Corvette. Completely restored, this is an award-winning cherry ‘Vette that has immediately taken its place in our dream garage hall of fame.

When we say “award-winning,” we’re actually downplaying the convertible Corvette’s esteemed accolades. It has won 2 National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) Regional awards, 2 NCRS National awards, 8 NCRS blue ribbons, and over 30 non-NCRS total awards. She’s a winner, baby.

And it is easy to see why. The vintage C2 ‘Vette underwent a complete frame off restoration in 2012, and has only 13,490 miles on the odometer. Only 200 miles have been put on it since its restoration (it is trailered to events.) It comes with both a hard and soft top, should you want to feel the wind in your hair.

The Malano Maroon exterior goes perfectly with the clean white interior. The interior is clean, sleek, and perfectly-period correct including the gauges. This is a sexy car, and the interior looks and feels especially tasty. Amenities include AM/FM radio and power antenna.

With the Z01 option, it also has backup lights and a day-night mirror.

Performance is exceptional on this ’65 Corvette. Under the hood is a 327 ci/350 HP V8, paired to a 4 speed manual transmission. This makes about 344 lb.-ft of torque. It also boasts 3:70 posi rear end.

Additionally, the car has power disc brakes, side exhaust, gold wall tires, and tinted glass. It is a sleek, smooth ride, and drives as well as it looks. And it looks…well, amazing.
