Corvette Z06 ran a 9.56 at 143 at 3,700 feet of density altitude, and it is a street-friendly cruiser.
While the C7 Corvette Z06 is often overshadowed by the LT5-powered ZR1, the first C7 to feature a factory-supercharged engine is no slouch. In stock form, the LT4 coupled with the automatic transmission leads to easy-11s, but when you add power and traction, the latest Z06 will run a whole lot quicker in the quarter mile.
The 2017 Corvette Z06 shown here is a street-driven supercar that has been built to run the quarter mile well into the 9-second range, and if you have been hunting for a machine like this, you are in luck. This car was posted to Corvette Forum‘s C7 Corvettes for Sale section by “Pinknuts,” who is asking $80,000 for this gorgeous street-and-strip Z06.
9-Second Corvette Z06 Introduction
When the OP first posted his stunning 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 for sale, he posted the basic details along with a long list of every modification performed to date. One key detail that was included in the introduction is that this Z06 ran a 9.56 at 143 miles per hour at the Texas Motorplex with a density altitude of 3,700 feet, in the same form that it is driven on the street.

He also included almost three dozen pictures of the Corvette inside, outside and under the hood, along with two videos from his own YouTube channel – one showing the 9.56 quarter mile pass (above) and some walk-around footage with the car idling. We have included the videos below, which are both good enough that the future owner could be sway by either of them. This car sounds freakin’ amazing at idle and in action.
This 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has been built to scream down the quarter mile, but more importantly, it has been built correctly to reliably deliver this high level of performance. From the exterior paint protection to the engine build to the built rear transaxle, everything about this Z06 was done right and the result is a beautiful car with gobs of power and repeatable 9-second potential, all while being comfortable enough to drive every day.
If you are looking for a C7 Corvette that you can drive on the street and run 9s at your local drag strip, this Z06 is hard to beat. With a price of $80,000, it isn’t a budget buy, but for someone who is serious about going fast in a properly-built LT4 car, this could be the ideal vehicle.
