Here at Corvette Forum, we’re all about showcasing every Corvette generation and talking about all things related to Chevy’s finest vehicle. We’re also committed to showcasing the Corvette models that win Corvette of the Year. As always, the winners are picked by the community, and now they’ve spoken.

The new winners were separated into four distinct categories. This particular contest asked voters to decide which Corvette deserved the number one spot for being the best stock Corvette. We’re pleased to announce “Dr L-88” as the “Stock, No Modifications” category winner. The 1965 C2 received 74 votes, or just about 40% of the total votes cast. We can certainly see why members chose it, because it’s beautiful!

Here’s Dr L-88’s description of the winner:

1965 fuel injected coupe, Nassau blue with white interior, all matching numbers, never wrecked, THE 5 original KH knockoff wheels it left St. Louis with, transistor ignition, 4.56 rear. I’ve owned this car twice, first from 1986 to 2002 and I reacquired it in 2018.

Unsurprisingly, the C2 looks just as resplendent inside as it does outside.

It probably won’t surprise anyone that he also owns three other Corvettes. Here’s his black 1964 and 1967 ‘Vettes. Dr L-88 also was a finalist for 2017’s C1 Corvette of the Year.

He also owns this super sexy 1957 project car. They’re all amazing, but that Nassau Blue really lights up our screens. It’s no surprise why the community loves it.

Whoa !!! I just now saw this. WOW, I am flattered and appreciative of everyone’s vote. ALL the cars are deserving of this award, so many beautiful Corvettes. Thanks again to everyone who voted for me but congratulations to all the others whose cars were considered as well. I dedicate this to my wife Linda.

Thanks,
Rex
