C8 Corvette Rendering

With C8 Corvette production pushed back months, we’ve found a great way to brainstorm mods for them now.

We’re still mired in C8 Corvette fever, fresh off the debut of both the 2020 coupe and convertible. But those lining up and placing deposits on GM’s new mid-engine marvel received a bit of bad news recently when the automaker’s well-publicized union strike pushed back production to February 2020. Previously, it was thought that some folks might actually receive their cars before the end of the year. This news was a major bummer, of course, and it also delays things like mods.

Regardless, we’ve found a nifty way to pass the time until you can start wrenching on your own C8 Corvette. Instagrammer and 3D Automotive Designer Karan Adivi has found himself enamored with the new ‘Vette recently, and he’s been cranking out all sorts of cool renderings of the car. Most of these reimagined C8s involve wide body kits, wheels, and other visual changes. And it all started a few weeks back this this simple blue example.

Adivi followed up that work with a pretty stunning yellow Corvette. This particular widebody takes several design cues from the C8.R, which is obviously a good source of inspiration. Adivi also gave it a very unique rear wing and some massive yet super attractive wheels to round out the look.

Corvette C8 Widebody V3. For this one, I took inspiration from the C8R and gave it split wings, just ’cause. Adivi didn’t stop there, however. He continues to hone his design, and we think this silver widebody C8 might be his best one yet.

C8 V3 Teaser. I’m sure a lot of people have had polarizing opinions on the new Corvette. Not going to lie, being a Corvette fanboy, I was probably one of them too. But after having able to work out some designs on this car, I can say that its got amazing potential to be a showstopper. Hopefully this kit changes your view if you didn’t like the car initially. I’m also working on developing some artificial lighting techniques currently. @the_kyza and @arnold_design prove to be a good inspiration always. As awesome as these renderings have turned out, we can’t wait to see what Adivi comes up with next. So be sure and head over here to give him a follow. If nothing else, it’ll help us pass the time until we can finally get our hands on the latest and greatest Corvette.
