If you want to get into a modern Corvette with a small budget, a C4 is your best bet. The C4 introduced the modern era of design with a wide, flat stance. The fourth-generation also began the gradual introduction of more interior technology into the Corvette lineup, while also having a modern, fuel-injected engine.

Most importantly, the C4 Corvettes are among the least expensive examples of the Chevy sports car. The problem is that in many cases, these cars haven’t been properly cared for over the years. As a result, they are inexpensive, but that is because they are in bad shape. Fortunately, there are some nice C4s out there and with some searching, you can find them at a bargain price. One such car was posted in the C4s for Sale section by “Darovich”. For anyone looking for a clean Corvette in proper running order on a tight budget, this C4 is an awesome option.

1989 Corvette Introduction

When the OP posted this C4 Corvette for sale, he opened with a brief description of the car when he got it. This ‘Vette had electrical issues, it didn’t run well and the paint was in bad shape. All of those problems were easily addressed and the resulting vehicle is impressive.

I bought it back in June, headlights didn’t work, ran poorly when hot, and car was stone chipped and scratched up here and there. New gears in lights new headliner new MAF and new CTS. I painted the car, replaced the emblems and belt moldings. Car is ridiculously nice. Professional paint no excuses. Car has new Goodyear Eagles New Heater Core, sport seats adjustable suspension, and it’s STOCK, cut lid and K&N filter are only modifications. Factory tape deck even works.

The OP also included a ton of pictures, only a few of which we have shared here. As you can see, there are pictures of the car during the restoration process and how it sits today. It looks great on the outside, and the inside isn’t too bad, either.

The Shortcoming

In the discussion following the initial post, the OP explains that he feels that the seats and interior “show some age”. We can see that there are some lines in the leather of the seats, but they look great for being 30 years old. We have seen plenty of C4 interiors that looked considerably worse. There is also some question as to whether the air conditioning system works, but the digital dash looks great.

This is the perfect car for someone who wants a nice cruiser that will impress the crowd at the local Cars and Coffee events. These cars aren’t crazy-quick, but the price of $8,500 leaves room for some upgrades. Of course, if you don’t care about the power and you just want to enjoy the drive in a Corvette, this car is ready to drive.

Frankly, this looks like one of the nicest black C4s we have seen. This is the perfect budget cruiser and it is nice enough for car shows.
