Stunning Marlboro Maroon ’67 Corvette up for Grabs in the ‘Corvette Forum’ Marketplace
L36-powered C2 Corvette is fresh off a meticulous restoration and packs plenty of desirable options.
For most, the big block C2 Corvette represents the pinnacle of classic cars. Or just cars in general. And it’s true that we tend to be a little biased towards these gorgeous cars ourselves. But who can blame us? Is there really a better looking car out there in the history of the automotive world? We think not. And those curvaceous lines are perfectly represented in stellar Marlboro Maroon on Corvette Forum member butler31‘s insanely gorgeous ’67 Corvette coupe. Even better, the big block-equipped car is up for grabs in the Corvette Forum Marketplace, right now.
This amazing car sports just 34,000 original and documented miles on the odometer. Regardless, it was treated to a full body-off restoration back in 2017 and has been sealed in a vault ever since. That process was also fully documented in photos, of course. The seller has owned his stunning ‘Vette since 1972, and obviously cherishes it like the prized possession that it is. Today, the car remains in numbers-matching condition with the original build sheet, save for the transmission, which was replaced at some point.
Powering this beauty is an L36 427 big block factory-rated at 390 horsepower. Of the 22,940 Corvettes produced in 1967, only 8,504 were coupes, and just 3,832 received this particular engine. This particular Corvette also came optioned with the transistor ignition, power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. The interior is every bit as beautiful as the exterior, too. Finished in brand new Al Knoch saddle, save for the original door upholstery, it’s also a perfect match for the maroon paint.
For the asking price of $88,000, this classic Corvette sure seems like a pretty good deal. The level of detail present in the restoration is nothing short of top-notch, and the car itself is a real head-turner. Couple that with some rare and desirable options, and you’ve got a winner in our book. Then again, we’re admittedly a bit biased. But at the same time, who in their right mind can possibly resist such an irresistible combo of classic ‘Vette?
