Carlisle AutoFest Hosts 42nd Annual NCRS Winter Corvette Show

Over 100 of Southeast U.S.’s finest Corvette examples roll in to 2020 Winter AutoFest for a show within a show.

Corvette fans obviously have their fair share of events to attend each calendar year. And Carlisle Events hosts a great number of them. This year’s kickoff, the Winter AutoFest, just wrapped up after three days of awesomeness at the Sun ‘n Fun Expo in Lakeland, Florida. And it was packed to the brim with Corvette show cars, racers, auction vehicles, and plenty of other goodies for sale. That includes the 42nd Annual NCRS Winter Regional Corvette show, which provided fans with a show within a show.

There, over 100 of the very best Corvette examples in the Southeast rolled in for a very special gathering. But if that isn’t enough, there was much more to love about this year’s installment of Winter AutoFest. Including a host of displays, one of which showcased race-inspired vehicles with a total value of over $15 million. Carlisle also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the 1970 model year with a special display dedicated to cars of that vintage.

If you were in the shopping mood, there were plenty of ways to spend your cash, too. Carlisle’s Winter AutoFest auction featured over 400 vehicles, and business was brisk. The top five sellers combined to garner a whopping $683,625. Carlisle’s swap meet featured 300 vendors in 1,000 spaces, selling upwards of a million different pieces and parts, collectibles, and automobilia. And there were plenty of industry folks on hand to answer your questions, including GM Certified Technician Paul Koerner.

Throw in a photo op with vintage air planes, and you’ve got a great way to spend a three-day weekend. Especially if you’re a Corvette fan. While this year’s Winter AutoFest is officially in the books, planning is already underway for next year’s event. But in the meantime, we’ve got a slew of awesome Carlisle events coming up. That includes Spring Carlisle on April 22-26, and of course, Corvettes at Carlisle August 27-30.
