A mean green Corvette goes viral this after a stunning Acid Green wrap makes the C8 look like an Italian Supercar.
A freshly wrapped “Acid Green” 2020 C8 Corvette has been making the rounds this week after popping up on Instagram and being shared in a closed C8 Facebook group. This lead to a thread posted right here on Corvette Forum as well as feature articles on sites like Corvette Blogger. While no one expects unanimous praise, particularly from flashy colors, this Acid Green C8 has a whole lot of Corvette aficionados wishing GM offered “more wild colors” akin to this particular green. And we agree.
In order to get the full story, and permission to post the original photographs, Corvette Forum reached out to the company who wrapped this particular 2020 Corvette, EA Wraps, where we were also lucky enough to chat with the C8’s owner, Joey Annoreno, as well as photographer, Cody Nogowski.

The Car
First, let’s talk about the Corvette itself. From the factory, it’s a black on black with grey stitching, 2LT trim, high-wing optioned C8. While it lacks the Z51 package, Annoreno added the carbon interior, side rocker panel extensions, as well as black trident wheels to his order form. Annoreno’s considering going aftermarket wheels, and he actually has a second (Z51) C8 on order, but in the meantime, EA Wraps will be color-matching the brake calipers this weekend using high-temp paint and clearcoat.
The Wrap
The high-gloss Acid Green wrap was created by a Los Angeles-based company called Inozetek. It’s actually not available yet, as this particular roll was sent to EA Wraps as a demo roll. For Porsche fans, they might recognize the name, but Inozetek’s Acid Green is much more vibrant and neon green compared to the Porsche color. EA Wraps says Inozetek’s high-gloss finishes are among the closest to a factory paint job you can get without entering a spray booth, which drives up install costs a little bit.
For example, a standard film covering for a C8 will set you back you approximately $3,800 to $4,000 at EA Wraps. This is mostly due to the C8 being a little more challenging than your average vehicle. The rear hatch and rear bumper areas are particularly tricky. But if you want a high gloss wrap like this Acid Green example, you’re looking to spend around $4,500, not only because the material is more expensive, but also because it takes a little more finesse to install. (Estimated prices may vary in your area.)

Corvette Forum Reacts
Here on the forum, reading over the 70-plus posts in this thread, the general consensus seems to be mostly positive, with members like Schiller7 saying:
I love the color ! I wish GM had more exotic colors to choose from. I am one of the few who ordered my new C8 in Accelerate Yellow. As my dealer states ” It is a color you love or hate” I also gave a lot of consideration of ordering it in Rapid Blue. Hope to see a few of these colors in the wild soon!
And TARANTULA adding:
Wow that car looks very nice in acid green. They should offer colors like this from the factory.
Along similar lines, WalterSobchack says:
They better have this or Krypton green at some point
looks awesome wish gm offered more extreme colors
Franki2blue added that he isn’t a fan of the 2020 C8 Yellow Color, Accelerate Yellow.
I like it. That absolutely should be a color they offer. A thousand times better than that puke acid yellow they offer
Great color and great start, i would suggest. calipers the and roof line the same color, lower about an inch and loose the wing. Best looking C8 i’ve seen so far!! — blk05coupe
I’d have the calipers powder coated the same green. I must say, I don’t hate it, I….mmmm….kinda like it. — SingleTrackMinded
Others, like fastrx7man, couldn’t help but imagine taking the design in a few other directions.
Love it…great job. I wonder how it would look with the roof and side vents also green??? May try a little photoshop just for my own curiosity.
Still, as one would expect, Acid Green isn’t a color for everyone. Some admired the color, but wouldn’t buy one. Others were not onboard at all.
Looks great…i wouldnt order it. For a lease it would be cool. Over time I would find I had enough …

The Photography
In our humblest opinion, this Acid Green C8 wouldn’t be making as big of a splash in our community if it wasn’t for the person behind the camera of the EA Wraps / Joey Annoreno photo shoot. Photographer Cody Nogowski is also EA Wraps’ lead installer and heads up the company’s social media. For this particular shoot, he used a Sony A7 II with the Sigma 35mm F1.4 art lens to capture a variety of C8 stills and rollers. Make sure to give him a follow on Instagram.
Final Thoughts
To wrap things up here, we just wanted to extend our thanks to the EA Wraps team, Joey Annoreno, and Cody Nogowski for taking the time to share their story with Corvette Forum. It’s a bold color that we’re more likely to see on something born in Italy, but America’s Sports Car looks right at home in this loud tone. Here’s hoping GM goes bolder with their color options as a result of these aftermarket experiments.
What do you think of the Acid Green C8, dear reader? Let us know HERE in the forums!
