C8 Corvette with the Fabspeed cat-back exhaust and high flow catalytic converters sounds amazing.

One of the easiest ways to customize your new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is to add aftermarket exhaust. Although the C8 has only been shipping to customers for a relatively short amount of time, several companies have rushed to introduce exhaust upgrades. The problem is that you never know what a system will sound like until it is installed. As a result, you might be unsure of whether or not you will like the sound once the pipes are installed, but as is often the case, CorvetteForum is here to help.

There are already several threads in the C8 section with videos of new Stingrays with aftermarket exhaust. “TR3Performance” recently posted a few videos of a black 2020 Corvette with Fabspeed exhaust upgrades and it sounds pretty sweet.

When the OP first posted his thread in the C8 Corvette section, he included a couple videos, a small group of pictures, and the basic details.

We installed a Fabspeed X-Pipe with their 200 Cell Sport Cats to this C8. Sounds really good!

The first video included in the thread quickly shows the exhaust upgrades being installed, which includes removing the Vossen wheels and the Stingray’s rear fascia. That video goes on to offer some revving clips with the car stationary, followed by several hard pulls. These brief runs are captured from both inside the car and along the side of the street, allowing us to get a great example of the exhaust note under hard throttle from different angles.

The second video focuses on stationary revving in the shop, which gives us the clearest example of the differences between the stock system compared to the Fabspeed cat-back system and high flow catalytic converters.

Finally, the OP included the images here of the new Stingray and of the exhaust bits on the car. In addition to sounding nice, the upgraded piping looks great, too.

The first person to respond was “StickerDick”, who asked about pricing. The OP hasn’t replied to that question yet, but on the Fabspeed website, their C8 systems range from around $3,300 to around $4,000. We believe that this Stingray is wearing the Supersport system, which starts at $3,295. The high flow catalytic convertors start at $2,795, so we would guess that the owner of this C8 has a little more than $6,000 tied-up in the exhaust upgrades.

After the pricing inquiries, “NoOne” complimented the exhaust note with this setup.

That sounds pretty good considering all the LS/LT series engines sound like boat motors.

FastToys” also likes the sound.

Looks great and sounds very aggressive.

If you are looking for an aftermarket exhaust system for your C8 Corvette and Fabspeed is one of the brands that you are considering, this thread should answer any questions that you might have about the sound of the upgraded pipes.
