The new Hennessey C8 Corvette H700 offers a substantial upgrade in terms of power over the stock model, with some extra style to boot.

By now – given the fact that it’s already well into its fifth model year, the C8 Corvette currently enjoys a robust aftermarket, coupled with quite a few turnkey, higher-performing alternatives, to boot. This is especially true now that the C8’s notoriously Fort Knox-like ECU has finally been cracked, which allows builders far more freedom when it comes to tweaking the mid-engine machine. Now, we have yet another intriguing option to add to that already long list – the newly revealed Hennessey C8 Corvette H700.

The Hennessey C8 Corvette H700 uses a familiar formula for extracting more power from a modern vehicle – it’s fitted with a big supercharger, coupled with an air-to-water intercooler, a high-flow air induction system, a calibration that was created with the car on the dyno, and fresh gaskets and fluid, plus an optional catback exhaust, to boot. The results, however, are quite impressive.

Hennessey says that its supercharged C8 churns out a total of 708 horsepower and 638 pound-feet of torque following these upgrades, which represents a rather healthy increase over the stock 6.2-liter LT2 V8’s factory ratings of 495 horsepower (with the performance exhaust) and 465 pound-feet of torque.

As one might imagine, there’s more to the Hennessey C8 Corvette H700 than just a big power upgrade, however. The full package includes an array of other goodies, including a set of lightweight, staggered 19- and 20-inch wheels that can be had in gloss black, gunmetal, or satin silver finishes, Hennessey badging, a serial number plaque, and a “heritage” livery that adds stripes finished in blue, white, black, silver, or red.

Pricing for the H700 package starts out at $34,950 for just the performance upgrades alone, while adding in the aforementioned visual enhancements will result in a higher MSRP of $49,950, not including the cost of the donor vehicle, of course. Either way, this upgrade comes with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty, and seems like a pretty solid way to transform any 2020-2022 Corvette into a more serious performance machine.
