All the fun stuff you love to have with your Corvettes will still be there in Carlisle, PA. The in-person auction, though, is canceled.

Summer is here, which means it won’t be long until Corvettes will gather en masse once again at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The happening is just one of many of the Corvette summer, and it’s one of our favorites.

Before those days in late August roll around, though, there’s another event where Corvettes are welcome to play. That, of course, is the Carlisle Chevrolet Nationals. Scheduled for June 26 and 27, the Bow Tie extravaganza will feature 1,000 rides, plus hundreds of vendors to keep (or get) your ‘Vette going.

However, if you were looking to buy a Corvette at the Chevy Nationals, there is a bit of bad news. Due to the ongoing pandemic, Carlisle Auctions will not be hosting its Spring Auction after all… sort of. Originally scheduled for late April, the auction was moved to June 18 and 19. However, the organizers accepted it was easier to shelve the in-person auction than risk the health of all guests and staff.

Thus, the Spring Auction will be an online experience. Hosted by Awesome Joe Auctions, you can find the ‘Vette of your dreams between June 21 and 23. And if you’re selling, consignment starts June 17. The in-person Spring Auction, along with all of the in-person Carlisle auctions, will return in 2021.

Though in-person auctions are out this year, that doesn’t mean the action slows down. For starters, there’s the outdoor display, anchored this year by the Monte Carlo’s 50th-anniversary celebration. Sponsored by National Parts Depot, the Showfield will no doubt have more than a few ‘Vettes on the grass.

And if you’re a fan of the C3 Corvette, you might see a few at the special GMs of the ’70s display, where all GM rides from 1970 through 1979 will be featured. Autocrossing, panels, exhaust competitions, and more await, too. And if you don’t mind the sun while buying the ‘Vette you seek, the Carlisle Car Corral is in effect.
