A sobering reminder of the dangers of street racing via the dashcam of one motorist at the wrong place and time.

Two high-powered exotics blew past a man on a lonely drive down the northeast Dallas expressway on Saturday. They overtook in the left lane, battling on a highway street race which quickly ended in disaster. A man named Bill Naborscaptured the entire incident on his dashcam, in an event he described to Dallas News as “unbelievably scary.” According to Dallas police, the drivers of one Lamborghini Urus and a chasing C8 Corvette, “lost control and caused a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles.” According to several report, the black C8 Corvette is allegedly leased or registered to NFL Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice. Police are still searching for Rice in connection with the accident.

A total of four individuals sustained injuries, with two being taken to the hospital. Rashee Rice’s lawyer issued a statement to WFAA News on Monday afternoon, stating, “Rashee is cooperating with local authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly.” It’s not yet confirmed whether Rice himself drove the Corvette, however. Furthermore, it’s unclear if Rice will face any charges related to the accident. As for the Lamborghini, Dallas Morning News reports that the Urus was rented and that its owner wasn’t present.

The Grim Reality

The dash cam footage shows the Urus overtaking on the left. It went up against the median, impacting the rear-left quarter panel of a silver Hyundai Accent. This sent the Accent into the side of a minivan, which the Corvette also struck after swerving right. Both cars coasted and collected a total of two more vehicles in the accident, leading to a six-car pileup. Three individuals jumped out of the Urus’s passenger side. Multiple eyewitnesses state that they and the drivers fled the scene of the accident. In a statement released to the Dallas Morning News, Dallas Police Department spokeswoman Kristin Lowman, “The occupants of both the Lamborghini and the Corvette left the crash site on foot without stopping to see if anyone needed medical help or providing any of their information.”

The victim driving the Accent, 27-year-old Kayla Quinn, was headed home that evening with her four-year-old son in the rear seat. She told Dallas Morning News that the accident left her son “shaking” and with minor injuries. Quinn also claimed she wishes to see the drivers of the vehicles involved face child endangerment charges. She went on to state that a total of five individuals left both the Corvette and Urus. They headed away on-foot, carrying bags and leaving behind a pair of white cleats in the Urus. No one stopped to check for injuries or fatalities. “I’m just blessed that I was able to walk out of there because it could have been so much worse.”‎
