The Cars of the 2012 Bloomington Gold Great Hall
Last week we told you all about the people and organizations being inducted into the 2012 Bloomington Gold Great Hall. As promised, we now present the 10 Corvettes to be included in this year’s Great Hall. The cars of the class of 2012 include the oldest production Corvette, a wildly popular styling car, and a pair of famous L88 racers.
The mission of The Great Hall is to annually spotlight 10 people/organizations and 10 Corvettes which have helped to transform the Corvette hobby into what it is today. Only 50 people and 50 Corvettes will ever reside within the Great Hall over the course of its 5-year run.
Several of our all-time favorites made the list this year including 1953 VIN 003, the Mako Shark, and the 1969 BFG “Stars and Stripes” racecar. All of the car inductees hold a prominent place in Corvette history for various reasons including racing pedigree, cutting-edge appearance, or raw engine performance.
