Here’s your chance to help one of the world’s leading charities, while at the same time showing your love for the Chevrolet Corvette.

Whenever a new car comes out, the media is commonly hit with a barrage of information in a press kit. A lot of times, that’s not cause for excitement, but when the kit is about an iconic car like the Corvette, it usually becomes an instant collectible.

Case in point: Chevrolet is partnering with the American Cancer Society to auction off the first of just 2,014 press kits for the 2014 Corvette, which was unveiled to the world at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on Sunday night.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction, which ends at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, will go to the Cancer Society to raise funds and awareness to help put an end to breast cancer as part of the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” campaign.

As of 8 p.m. Monday, the bidding on eBay had reached $1,100. We’ve got to believe that figure can?and should?climb much higher. How about it, Corvette enthusiasts?

The C7 press kit features a color booklet, a USB memory stick full of press releases and photographs, and a commemorative plaque and has even been signed by top executives at Chevrolet, including Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Jeuchter.
